Semaglutide

-What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is an injectable medication used for weight loss. It works by mimicking the effects of the hormone GLP-1, which helps to control appetite and increase feelings of fullness. By increasing the levels of GLP-1 in the body, Semaglutide helps to reduce the amount of food consumed and promote weight loss. It is typically used in people who have Type 2 Diabetes or have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, and should be used in combination with a reduced-calorie diet and regular physical activity.  Semaglutide is administered via subcutaneous injection once per week.

-What is Tesofensine?

Tesofensine is a Serotonin-norepinephrine-dopamine-reuptake-inhibitor (SNDRI). SNDRIs are a class of psychoactive antidepressants. Tesofensine works by blocking the reuptake of three neurotransmitters – dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin – in the brain, which leads to increased levels of these neurotransmitters in the brain. The potential advantages of tesofensine include increased satiety, decreased food intake, and improved weight loss outcomes.

Tesofensine causes a significant increase in weight loss and fat loss by reducing appetite, increasing resting energy expenditure (ie increasing metabolism and calories burned), increasing fat oxidation, and reducing fat tissue.

Tesofensine has undergone several clinical trials for obesity and has shown promising results in terms of weight loss. Additionally, Tesofensine has been studied as a potential treatment for other conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Tesofensine is taken orally once a day before meals with or without food.
